- Your event has at least three gender categories (male, female, non-binary/third gender), or no gender categories
- All gender categories are awarded equal prizes
- Allow participants to self-identify their gender without judgment
- Have protocol for your race officials and volunteers to not assume a participant’s gender, or gender police particularly at registration
