Co-Founder

Su Mittra (she/her) co-founded Pride on Foot in 2020, with the goal of normalizing marginalized gender groups in the Northeast running communities.  As an Intersex person she has encountered harassment and threats while at races throughout her running life.  She believes that the key to being fully accepted in our current society is to advocate for equal & equitable treatment of all gender groups, rather than just the male/female binary.

Su is an ultra runner, completing distances over 100 miles. She is an Athlete Ally Ambassador, has been a small business owner since 2005, and can often be found running through the woods barefoot.

Co-Founder

Julia Zubiago (she/her) learned how to run long distances as part of a college marathon team, and believes that running communities can be transformative spaces for everyone to build confidence, a sense of belonging, and of course, a source of regular endorphins! She is particularly interested in creating communities that empower those who have been marginalized on the basis of their gender identity or sexual orientation.

Her day job is in public health, but in her free time she’s either running, reading, or thinking about food.

Co-Founder

Amy Rinaldo (she/her), is a West Coast transplant who has gained a sense of belonging through the Boston-area running community. Amy is passionate about making the community a place where all people feel that same belonging. She believes in the importance of both education and action to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all gender identities and other marginalized groups.

When not working as a teacher, you can find Amy running, swimming, or biking around New England. She’s usually the one with the most snacks and has been known to stop in the middle of races to pet dogs.
